A farmer named Samshul Alam died due to lightning in Naogaon

A farmer died due to lightning while he was working on threshing paddy in Boro paddy field in Manda, Naogaon. The accident took place at Bholam village of Manda Sadar Union of the upazila around 3:30 pm on Friday (June 7). The deceased farmer's name is Samshul Alam Mondal (30). Abdul Quddus, the son of Faim Uddin Mandal of Bholam village, a local resident, said that on Friday afternoon, suddenly the western sky was covered with dark clouds. Farmer Samshul Alam saw the clouds and went to gather the boro paddy she had left in the Ranaha field next to the house. His wife Lalbanu Bibi was also with him. He died on the spot due to sudden lightning. Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozammel Haque Kazi confirmed the matter. He said that the body of the deceased Samshul Alam has been handed over to the family after the legal process.
