On the day of the upazila council elections in Gobindganj, Gaibandhar, on the day of the upazila council elections on May 21st, 118 leaders and activists surrendered and applied for bail in the Gobindganj Chowki Court today in the case of the vandalism and arson of the residence of Asaras Prateik's sympathizers in Para Kachua village of Shibpur Union of the upazila. Ordered to send all the accused to jail without accepting the plea.

The notable defendants named in the case are Gobindganj Upazila Awami League: General Secretary Kochshahar UP former chairman Abu Sufian Mondal, Upazila Awami League former office secretary and assistant professor Feroz Khanun Noon, Gobindganj Municipal Jubo League convener Jahangir Alam Mintu, Upazila Krishak League former office secretary. UP member Lelin, Kochshahar UP member Awami League leader Asadul Haque, A total of 118 activists of Awami League, along with General Secretary of Union Jubo League, surrendered and applied for bail in Gobindganj Chowki Court.
