Keshavpur land and 80 homeless families got houses as a gift from the Prime Minister.

80 landless and homeless families in Keshavpur got houses as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On Tuesday (June 11-24), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the handover of land and houses with land deeds to the homeless as Eid gifts through video conference. This time they will enjoy the joy of Eid in the home prepared by the Prime Minister's gift.
Upazila Executive Officer Mr. Md. Tuhin Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Mr. Md. Tanveer Hossain, President of Keshabpur Upazila Awami League SM handed over new houses and documents to 80 families of Keshabpur Altapol Shelter Center built according to the instructions of Honorable Prime Minister Deshratna Sheikh Hasina at Keshabpur Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Bangladesh Awami League leaders including Ruhul Amin, Municipal Mayor Rafiqul Islam etc. Officials of various departments, chairman, journalists and friends were present.
It is to be noted that 2 crore 47 lakh 76 thousand taka has been allocated on 9 November 2023 for the construction of 80 semi-finished single houses on the site of the old dilapidated CICT barracks of Altapol Shelter Project. Construction work of 80 houses has already been completed. Among the former beneficiary families, 39 families are staying. As the remaining 41 families were not accommodated, their settlements were canceled and new 41 families were given favorable settlements. Each family is given 2 percent of the land deed along with a copy of the name list.
