Three kidnappers were arrested, and two victims were rescued in a police operation in Teknaf.

On November 26, Teknaf Model Police Station arrested three kidnappers and rescued two victims in a successful operation. At 10:40 AM, under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Giyas Uddin, SI (retd) Sanjeev Kumar Pal, along with SI (retd) Nani Barua and the Mobile Team-7, conducted a raid in the hills of Teknaf Sadar Union, Ward No. 03. The operation, supported by local residents, led to the arrest of members of a kidnapping gang and the rescue of two victims.
The case, registered on November 25 (Case No. 77/682), involved the kidnapping of three unidentified Rohingya individuals near Mat Para Road, west of the 2nd BGB battalion, Teknaf Sadar Union. Following the filing of the case, SI (retd) Sanjeev Kumar Pal was assigned to investigate. Acting on confidential information, he led the raid on the hills in front of Math Para, Ward No. 3, with the assistance of SI (retd) Nani Barua and Sangiya Mobile Team-7.
During the raid, three suspects were arrested:
- Saiful (22), son of Nuruchchalam Prakash Rang Mistry, from Puran Pallan Para, Teknaf Sadar Union.
- Maryam (50), wife of a poet, from Math Para, Teknaf Sadar Union.
- Nachima Akter (30), wife of Rabiul, also from Math Para, Teknaf Sadar Union.
However, other suspects managed to escape. The victims, Shamsu (50) from Balukhali Camp, Camp-FW, Block No. 42, and Anisul Alam (28) from Balukhali 2, Camp-11, both in Ukhia, were rescued from the kidnappers' custody. The operation to apprehend the remaining suspects is ongoing. Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin confirmed that legal proceedings are being initiated against the arrested individuals.
