The Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, stated, "Muscle power and the game of black money will not be allowed in the elections. Elections must happen in Bangladesh, but the nation does not want a fake election. We want a real election, a fair election—an election in which muscle power and black money will not be allowed." He made these remarks as the chief guest at a public meeting organized by the Narsingdi District Jamaat-e-Islami at the Kalikumari Institute grounds in Satirpara, Narsingdi, on Friday (February 14, 2025) afternoon.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Amir said, "To establish true rights, we must correct the voter list. Those who are fake voters must be removed. The young people who have registered as voters but whose names are not listed must be added to the list."

He went on to mention that many people went to jail abroad during the July movement, saying, "They fought alongside us. By halting remittances, they showed the authoritarian government a red flag, and we salute them. Every expatriate brother and sister's right to vote must be ensured."

During this time, he further added, "Those who are in the field administration, who have not been able to show responsibility in the past and have demonstrated irresponsibility, whose actions have led to bullets bought with the people's money hitting the people—these individuals should not be seen in any responsibilities in the upcoming election. However, we pledge to support honest and patriotic officers in the administration. The people of the country will work hand in hand with you in carrying out your duties."

Highlighting the actions of the previous fascist government, he said, "From the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to all the offices in the country, they were effectively sealed. We were the only party whose registration was taken away. Unfortunately, fascism has temporarily faded, but we still have not regained our registration. We are still fighting in court for it. This is a shame for Bangladesh. The registration should have been returned to us with the end of fascism because we never bowed down to injustice or fascism."

He also called on the interim government to immediately return the registration with full rights and demanded that all the stolen money from the country, whether inside or outside the country, be brought back, captured in nets, and deposited into the government's treasury.

In the public meeting organized for the goal of establishing a state based on justice and equality, eliminating the fascist Awami regime and its allies, and building a Bangladesh of humanity and harmony, the Narsingdi District Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Maulana Mosleh Uddin presided over the meeting. The Secretary-General of the Narsingdi District Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Amjad Hossain, conducted the event. Among others, speeches were delivered by the Assistant Secretary-General of the Central Jamaat-e-Islami, Rafiqul Islam Khan, Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Millan, Kormaporishad Member Maulana A.F.M. Abdus Sattar, Abdul Mannan, Majlis-e-Sura Member Advocate Mashiul Alam, Maulana Mominul Haque, Maulana Delwar Hossain, Amir of Narayanganj City Jamaat Maulana Abdul Jabbar, Amir of Munshiganj District Jamaat A.J.M. Rahul Kuddus, and Assistant Secretary-General of Narsingdi District Jamaat Professor Makbul Hossain, among others.
