In Lohagara, Narail, two drug dealers, including Yaba pills, were arrested. Based on secret information, police conducted a raid in Lohagara upazila and arrested two drug dealers along with Yaba pills. Ujjal Roy, the district correspondent from Narail, reported that on Tuesday (February 18) at around 7:30 PM, they were apprehended from the paved road near Mukul Sheikh's house in Itna Union of the upazila. The arrested individuals are Baizid Sikdar (22), son of late Habib Sikdar, and Shariful Mollah (35), son of Mannan Mollah, both residents of Itna village. A special team from Lohagara Police Station carried out the operation, led by SI (Investigation) Suman Howladar and SI (Investigation) Md. Rabiul Islam, along with other police members. During the raid, 20 Yaba pills were recovered from the suspects. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at Lohagara Police Station, and the accused have been sent to court.
Md. Ashikur Rahman, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station, stated that the special anti-drug operations by the police will continue, and strict actions will be taken against drug traffickers. The police administration is committed to maintaining rigorous efforts to build a drug-free society.
