In Burichang, the Shaheed Dibas (Martyrs' Day) and International Mother Language Day were observed through various programs organized by the upazila administration, political organizations, social organizations, and educational institutions. The Burichang Upazila Administration arranged a drawing competition and a neat handwriting competition on the theme of the Language Movement, followed by a prize distribution ceremony. Wreaths were laid at the Shaheed Minar in the Upazila Parishad premises, and the national flag was flown at half-mast at all institutions and offices. Special prayers, Quran recitations, and supplications were held at mosques, temples, and other places of worship for the salvation of the souls of the martyrs of the Language Movement. Discussions were also organized in memory of the language martyrs.

At 12:01 AM, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Shaheed Minar under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sahida Akter, with officials from various departments participating. Additionally, a wreath was laid on behalf of Burichang Police Station under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Azizul Haque.

At 9:00 AM, a Quran recitation and supplication were held at the conference room of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, organized by the Islamic Foundation, seeking the salvation of the language martyrs. The event was chaired by Mohammad Habibur Rahman, an officer of the Islamic Foundation in Burichang. UNO Sahida Akter attended as the chief guest, while Kazi Khorshed Alam, President of Burichang Press Club, was present as a special guest. The supplication was conducted by the Imam of the Upazila Complex Jame Mosque. Imams, muazzins, and officials from various mosques and child education centers under the Islamic Foundation were also present.

At 10:00 AM, a discussion session and prize distribution ceremony for the drawing and neat handwriting competitions were held at the conference room of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer. The event was chaired by UNO Sahida Akter and attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sonia Haque, Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Azizul Haque, Agriculture Officer Afrina Akter, Upazila Engineer Alif Ahmed Akshar, Secondary Education Officer Abdul Mannan, Primary Education Officer Fowzia Akter, BRDB Officer Russel Sarwar, Cooperative Officer Mir Hossain, Burichang Press Club President Kazi Khorshed Alam, URC Officer Mostafa Kamal, Ansar VDP Officer, Fire Service Officer-in-Charge, students, parents, and teachers from various schools and colleges.

Additionally, the BNP and its affiliated organizations laid wreaths at the Shaheed Minar. The Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Burichang Upazila branch, organized a three-day publication festival. Moreover, discussions were held by various schools, colleges, madrasas, and social organizations to mark the day.
