Board Meeting of Pundra University Held in Bogura

The 99th meeting of the Board of Trustees of Pundra University of Science and Technology, a top-tier and internationally recognized non-governmental development organization under the education sector of TMSS, established by the distinguished educationist, social worker, and Director of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, a proud daughter of Bogura and a pioneer in social change and women's development in the country, was held on Saturday, February 22, in the afternoon at the university auditorium.

At the beginning of the meeting, on behalf of the family of Shaheed Budhhijibi Abdul Jabbar, the youngest son of Shaheed Budhhijibi Abdul Jabbar, Editor of Daily Asian Express and fortnightly Anand Nagar, and author of the Trust: Shaheed Budhhijibi Memorial Trust, Bangladesh, Shafii Billah Jabbar Kakan handed over a cash donation of two lakh taka to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, for the proposed Shaheed Abdul Jabbar Law Department/Faculty 'Law School' at Pundra University. Additionally, the Editor of Shaheed Budhhijibi Abdul Jabbar Memorial Foundation, Md. Abdul Quddus, on behalf of the foundation, handed over a cash donation of one lakh taka to the Chairman. She accepted the donations, thanked them, and assured that the funds would be utilized appropriately.

The meeting was presided over by the Chairman and Executive Director of TMSS, Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum. She greeted everyone present and delivered a speech with various directives. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Chittaranjan Mishra, informed the meeting about the overall activities of the university.

Among others, the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, former Secretary and Chairman of Janata Bank, Md. Fazlur Rahman; Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Rotarian Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman; Treasurer Md. Zahedur Rahman; Editor of Daily Karatoa and Board of Trustees member Md. Mozammel Haque Lalu; Md. Nasirun Nabi; Foyzun Nahar; Shahjadi Begum; Vice-Chancellor of Naogaon University, Professor Dr. Mohabbat Hossain Ali; Engineer Md. Harun-ur-Rashid; Syeda Rakiba Sultana; Deputy Executive Director of TMSS, Sohrab Ali Khan; Monirul Mahtab Tamal Taru; and Mustafa Nazmul Pasha, among others, discussed various agendas.

Additionally, the Board of Trustees' advisor, Professor Dr. M. Afzal Hossain, and members Md. Abdul Qader and Toufiq Hossain, among others, joined the meeting online. Also present at the meeting were PUB's Treasurer Professor Md. Sujan Shah-e-Fazlul, Registrar Dr. S. J. Anwar Zahid, and Board of Trustees Coordinator Khorshed Alam. The meeting was conducted and managed by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, AHM Golam Rasul Khan.
