Two drug dealers arrested with 50 kg of cannabis in Burichang

Based on secret intelligence, Burichang Thana Police conducted a raid and seized an old Super GL Hiase vehicle (Registration No: Dhaka Metro-Ch-11-8688) from the paved road in the Nanuar Bazar area of Solnal Union No. 4 in the upazila. During the search, they arrested two drug dealers along with 50 kg of cannabis. Acting on the instructions of Burichang Thana's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Azizul Haque, Sub-Inspector Nurul Islam and his team carried out a special operation on Sunday to recover illegal firearms, narcotics, and execute warrants. During the operation, they searched the old Super GL Hiase vehicle (Registration No: Dhaka Metro-Ch-11-8688) on the paved road in the Nanuar Bazar area and arrested two drug dealers with 50 kg of cannabis.

The arrested individuals are:

  1. Md. Abu Saeed Bhuiyan (35), son of Abdul Latif and Rehana Akter, resident of Kuchailtoli, Ward No. 3, Kotwali Model Thana, Comilla District.

  2. Md. Tipu Sultan (27), son of Mohin Uddin alias Mohin and Peshu Begum, resident of Naighar, Noapara, Brahmanpara Thana, Comilla District.

A case has been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act at Burichang Thana, and they have been sent to jail through the court.
