Workers' Party's Anniversary and May Day Celebrated in Mohanpur Upazila, Rajshahi

The 46th founding anniversary and the great May Day were celebrated in Mohanpur Upazila, Rajshahi, organized by the Labor Party. The event took place at the Mohanpur Upazila premises on Friday afternoon, May 2. Presided over by Mozammel Haque, the convener of the Upazila Labor Party, the program was inaugurated by Member Secretary and former UP member Abdul Karim Mondal. The event was conducted by Abdul Qader Mollah and Abdur Razzak, convener of the Upazila Jubo Dal.

The chief guest was Adv. Shafiqul Haque Milon, Assistant Secretary for Relief and Rehabilitation of the BNP National Executive Committee. The keynote speaker was Adv. Tofazzal Hossain Tapu, former President of Rajshahi District BNP.

Special guests included Shamimul Islam Mun, President of Mohanpur Upazila BNP and former Chairman of the Upazila Parishad; General Secretary and former UP Chairman Mahbub Ar Rashid; Organizing Secretary Bachchu Rahman; former Organizing Secretary and UP Chairman Professor Kazim Uddin; former Office Secretary of District BNP Salauddin; Golam Mostafa Bablu, convener of the Krishak Dal; General Secretary Zakaria Mondal; Jahangir Alam, convener of the Swechchhasebak Dal; former General Secretary of Kesharhat Municipal BNP, Professor Khushbar Rahman; Elias Hossain, President of Dhuroil Union BNP; General Secretary Moklesur Rahman; Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui, President of Moughachi Union BNP; General Secretary Yunus Ali; youth leaders Mirza Shawkat Ali and Shahriar Sazzad; Mahmudur Rahman Rubel, Member Secretary of Chhatra Dal; Senior Joint Convener Shakibul Islam Liton; Zillur Rahman, President of Jahanabad Union; and General Secretary Tajuddin.

Later, leaflets outlining BNP’s 31-point state reform framework under Tarique Rahman were distributed.
