Police have recovered the bodies of three individuals, including a schoolgirl, in three upazilas of Naogaon in a single day. Two of the deceased were found with their hands and feet tied. Police suspect these incidents to be planned murders. Their bodies were recovered on Thursday (October 9) from Porsha, Sapahar, and Raninagar upazilas.

According to police sources, the details of the recovered bodies are as follows:

  • In Porsha upazila, the body of Sumaiya Akter (8), a madrasa student, was found with her hands and feet tied in a mango orchard. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mintu Rahman of Porsha Police Station said it is initially assumed that the child was raped and then murdered by suffocation.

  • In Sapahar upazila, the body of an elderly man named Nurul Islam (73) was recovered from a canal water 24 hours after he went missing; his hands and feet were also tied. OC Abdul Aziz of Sapahar Police Station views this as a planned murder.

  • Additionally, in Raninagar upazila, the body of a young man was recovered hanging from a mango tree.

All three recovered bodies have been sent to the morgue of Naogaon Sadar Hospital for autopsies. Police stated that the exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy reports. Intensive investigations are underway to unravel the mystery behind each incident.
