Four people were seriously injured in an ambush by the supporters of the other candidate during the campaign of the chairman candidate in the Upazila Parishad election in Ishwardi, Pabna. Two more supporters were injured. The injured have been admitted to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex. The incident took place on Friday (May 24) at around 7:30 pm in Piarakhali Mandalpara area of ​​the city.

It is known that the supporters of motorcycle symbol candidate Abul Kalam Azad Mintu in the Iswardi Upazila Parishad elections were campaigning and asking for votes in Piyarakhali Mandalpara area of ​​the city on Friday (May 24) around 7:30 pm. At that time, the supporters of the pineapple symbol candidate Emdadul Haque Rana Sardar ambushed Mintu supporters with sticks and seriously injured 4 people. The seriously injured are Md Parash Sheikh, son of Repez Sheikh and former general secretary of Ward No. 3 Jubo League, Mizan Mandal, son of Mojibar Mandal, Amirul Islam, son of Abdus Sattar, and Moniruzzaman Mazumder, son of Saber Ali Mandal.
