A human chain program was held in Narsingdi to protest the continuous attacks on teachers across the country. This program was organized by the Bangladesh MPO Teachers, Employees Forum, Narsingdi District Branch.

On Wednesday morning, October 15th, more than a hundred teachers and employees from various schools and colleges in the district participated in the human chain in front of the Narsingdi Press Club at the Upazila intersection.

The principal of Narsingdi Independent College, Mohammad Mashiur Rahman Mridha, was present as the chief guest at the human chain program. Among the special guests were Tofazzal Hossain, General Secretary of Nakshish, and Mohammad Arif Pathan, Organizing Secretary, among others. Teachers from various educational institutions in the district, including Hasibur Rahman Anik, Principal of Narsingdi Udayan College, were also present.

The chief guest of the event, Principal Mashiur Rahman Mridha of Narsingdi Independent College, said, "Teachers are the architects of society and the nation. Attacks on them are a blow to the country's education and humanity."

Expressing anger, the speakers at the human chain said that incidents of insulting or torturing the teaching community will not be tolerated in any way. They demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers and exemplary punishment. At the same time, they called upon the government and the conscious section of society to play a strong role in ensuring the security and dignity of teachers. The teacher leaders fervently called upon the government to ensure respect for the teaching community, quickly meet their demands, and guarantee their security.
