A meeting of the Burichang Upazila Law and Order Committee was held in Comilla. The meeting took place on Thursday (October 30) morning at the conference room of the Upazila Executive Officer and was presided over by Burichang Upazila Executive Officer, Mohammad Tanvir Hossain.

Other speakers at the meeting included: Dr. Farhad Abedin Bhuiya, representative of the Health and Family Planning Officer; OC (Investigation) Mohammad Aminul Haque; Family Planning Officer Biddhan Kanti Rudra; Youth Development Officer Shahedul Alam Chowdhury; Anand Pilot AKM Aminul Islam; Kazi Khorshed Alam, President of the Burichang Press Club; Project Implementation Officer Zobayer Hasan; Cooperative Officer Mir Hossain; Assistant Social Services Officer Abdul Mannan; Women Affairs Officer Fatema Johra; Ansar-VDP Officer Azhar; AGM of Palli Bidyut, Burichang; BGB representative Abu Bakkar; Fire Service and Civil Defence Officer Zahirul Hasan; representative of Mokam Union Parishad, Mohammad Zakir Hossain; representative of Pirjatrapur Union Parishad, Abdul Haque; representative of Varella Union Parishad, Abdul Jalil; and representative of Bakshimul Union Parishad, Rokibul Islam.

The meeting emphasized the need for a more active role by the administration and law enforcement agencies in controlling cross-border smuggling, curbing drugs, and improving the overall law and order situation.
