In Teknaf, supporters of Abdullah, who was deprived of the BNPs nomination for Cox's Bazar-4 constituency, blocked the road for four hours and planted banana trees as a symbolic protest. Supporters of Mohammad Abdullah protested after he did not receive the party nomination for the Cox's Bazar-4 (Ukhiya-Teknaf) constituency. Eyewitnesses reported that they burned tires, blockaded the road, and planted banana trees in various places on the road as a symbolic protest. The BNP announced its list of candidates for 237 constituencies on Monday night. The absence of Mohammad Abdullah's name for the Cox's Bazar-4 seat sparked angry reactions from his supporters. Subsequently, from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM on Tuesday, they protested by blocking roads and burning tires in various parts of Teknaf municipality town. During this time, the protesters chanted slogans such as "We do not accept the illegal nomination" to express their anger. Banana trees were planted as a symbolic protest at several locations, including Teknaf Old Bazar, Whykong Junction, and the bus stand area. On the other hand, Mohammad Abdullah's younger brother and Chairman of Teknaf Sadar Union Parishad, Ziaul Rahman Jihad, in a Facebook status, urged the activists to remain calm. He stated, "The party's decision is final. Everyone must be patient and maintain loyalty to the party."
