TMSS's Humanitarian Assistance in Singra, Natore: Food Items Distributed Among 250 Distressed Families

TMSS, a leading private development organization in the country of international standard, has distributed food items among 250 distressed families in Singra upazila of Natore as part of its social responsibility. This humanitarian assistance activity was conducted under the direction of the organization's founder executive director, prominent social worker and educationist Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum. This food distribution ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 5, at the field of Rahim Uddin Ahmed Memorial Degree College in Kaliganj Bazar, Singra upazila, Natore, on the initiative of Naogaon Zone under TMSS's Operation-3 Rajshahi Domain. 250 specially prepared bags of food items were distributed for 250 listed distressed families in the working area of TMSS's Kaliganj Branch. Each distributed bag contained 20 kg of potatoes and muri (puffed rice), which is extremely important assistance for low-income people in the current difficult situation. Presided over by Kaliganj Branch Manager Md. Abdur Rashid, the event was graced by Principal of Rahim Uddin Ahmed Memorial Degree College Md. Abdul Awal as the chief guest, who distributed the food items.

Special guests present at the event included SM Babul, Domain Head and Deputy Director of TMSS Rajshahi Domain, and Md. Hanjalal Rahman, Head of Naogaon Zone, among others. In his speech, Domain Head SM Babul said, "TMSS conducts various social and humanitarian activities across the country not for profit, but with a spirit of service. Continuing this trend, standing by the underprivileged people in the area under Kaliganj branch of Singra upazila today is one of the key objectives of TMSS. We affirm that TMSS will continue such humanitarian activities in the future as well." He praised TMSS's efforts in conducting social and humanitarian activities among the grassroots people. Local beneficiaries who received the food assistance welcomed this noble initiative of TMSS. They mentioned that this food assistance would be very helpful in ensuring food security for their families in the current difficult situation. They expressed their sincere gratitude and thanks to TMSS Founder Executive Director Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum and the officials for this humanitarian assistance.

It is noteworthy that TMSS has been conducting multifaceted development activities including education, health, agriculture, economic and humanitarian assistance in various parts of the country for a long time. It is hoped that this food distribution activity will have a positive impact on society. The event was conducted and managed by Md. Masud Rana, Region Head of TMSS Raninagar Region. Officials of TMSS, people from various walks of life, dignitaries, beneficiaries, and media personnel were present at the event.
