In a drug raid in Shibpur, one person detained was fined and sentenced to 2 months of simple imprisonment.

Shibpur Model Thana Police assisted in conducting a drive against drugs and a mobile court in Shibpur, Narsingdi. On Wednesday, November 5th, at 11:30 PM, during a mobile court operation at a place called Kanahota in Chakradha Union of Shibpur Upazila, a person named Kawsar was arrested while consuming cannabis. He was fined 100 Taka and sentenced to 2 months of simple imprisonment under Section 36, Schedule 21 of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. The mobile court was conducted by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate, Shibpur, Narsingdi, Md. Abdur Rahim. (It is known from administrative sources that the drive will continue.)
