A donation check sent from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund has gone missing before reaching the hands of the visually impaired Satter. 7 months spent searching for a donation check made out in the name of the helpless visually impaired Sattar. However, the donation check was not found. For the past 7 months, the visually impaired Satta District Commissioner's office and the office of the UNO have been hounded by this 70-year-old man on vacation. According to related sources, Abdus Sattar, son of Emaj Uddin of Bara Kabla village of the upazila, applied for financial assistance from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund in 2023. A grant check of Rs.40,000 was sanctioned in view of his application. Memorandum dated 22nd October 2023 signed by Prime Minister's Assignment Officer Afroza Mansoor (Ghazi script) Through letter No-03.007.037.00.00.415.2023 (Part-414)/1678, Abul Sattar was asked to collect a check of donation of 40 thousand taka from Badalgachi Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office or District Commissioner's office from Naogaon.

After that, when Abdul Sattar went to pick up the check from the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer with the letter received from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund, the beneficiary Sattar was informed that the check did not arrive here. Later, when the Deputy Commissioner's office went to Naogaon to collect the cheque, he was told who or where he had taken the cheque. At this time, Adul Sattar took Isukrit Chek in his name. Despite asking such questions repeatedly, the officials of that office could not give any good answer to Sattar. Finally, the officials of the Deputy Commissioner's office told Sattar that you should go to the Prime Minister's office and inquire. Desperate, the victim Sattar went to Dhaka with a letter and appeared at the residence of former MP Salim Tarafdar. The MP then advised Sattar to go to Gate No. 4 of the Bangladesh Secretariat. To know from the secretariat after a lot of effort and wandering A check in the name of the person mentioned in the memo has been sent to Naogaon District Commissioner's office. Sattar says I am a visually impaired person.

On Thursday (May 23), the office assistant of the Badalgachi Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office asked Ekramul Islam to inquire about this, and he said that Sattar, who is visually impaired, has come to me many times. But no check or letter of grant from Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund in Sattar's name has come to my hands. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (retired) Kamrul Hasan Sohag said, this should not happen. Maybe for some reason it has not come to us now. No one can use the check except the person in whose name the check is issued. However, I will look into the matter.
