The general meeting of Gaibandha Press Club was held on Saturday 25th May at noon in its own auditorium. In the meeting, a new executive committee of 25 members was formed for the coming year 2024-2025. National Journalist Association Gaibandha district branch former president veteran journalist Syed Nurul Alam Jahangir (daily Kartoa) has been elected as president, working president Siddique Alam Dayal (daily Jugantar and Machranga TV), Vice-President Abdus Samad Babu (Dainik Ghaght), Vice-President Shahabul Shaheen Tota (Prothom Alo), Vice-President Idrisuzzaman Mona (ATN Bangla), Vice-President-Sardar Shahid Hasan Lotan (Editor Weekly Running Reply), General Secretary elected Mr. Abedur Rahman Swapan (BTV), Additional General Secretary- Ferdous Jewel (RTV), became the president of the Gaibandha district branch of the National Journalist Association. Joint General Secretary Shamim Al Samya (71 TV), Joint General Secretary Asaduzzaman Mamun (Channel 24), Associate Editor ABM Sattar (Daily Manavkanth), Organizing Secretary-Atiqur Rahman Atiq Babu (Editor Weekly Gana Uttaran and Global TV), Treasurer Jahangir Alam (Dainik Chandni Bazar), Office Editor Farhan Sheikh (Executive Editor Weekly Jansena and CNN Bangla TV), Publicity and Publication Editor Kaychar Plaban SA TV), Literary and Cultural Editor Uttam Sarkar (Ajkal Khabar), Social Welfare Editor SM Biplab Islam (Samy TV), Library Editor Afroza Luna (Ekushey Television), Sports Editor Saiful Islam Prince (News 24 TV ), executive committee members Rezaul Haque Mita (Editor Gaibandha), Masum Lumen (Samakal), Fazle Rabbi Mondal (Bangladesh Times), Nazrul Islam (Jayajatra.com), Mizanur Rahman (Dainik Zabaradihi) and Faisal Rahman Jani (Dainik Matrichaya).

Shah Sarwar Kabir, Member of Parliament of Gaibandha-02 (Sadar) Constituency was nominated as the main sponsor in the meeting. In addition, Govindalal Daske is the chief advisor and M. Abdus Salam, Russell Ahmed Liton and Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa were nominated as advisors. KM Rezaul Haque, Amitabh Dash Himun, Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Riktu Prasad, Ujjal Chakraborty, Rajat Kanti Burman, Khairul Islam and other members. The leaders of the newly elected committee of the Gaibandha Press Club have been congratulated by the National Journalist Association Gaibandha District Branch and Gobindganj Upazila Branch. The leaders have also congratulated the leaders of various journalistic organizations, social and political leaders.
