The nomination contest is over, now the Sheaf of Paddy must be made victorious. Harun-or-Rashid gets BNP nomination in Rajbari-2 constituency.

Putting an end to all speculations, Md. Harun-or-Rashid, former General Secretary of Rajbari district BNP, has secured the nomination of the Sheaf of Paddy for the Rajbari-2 (Pangsha-Baliakandi-Kalukhali) constituency. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this at a press conference of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at the party chairperson's Gulshan office on Thursday afternoon. Reacting after the nomination announcement, Rajbari-2 constituency's BNP-nominated candidate Md. Harun-or-Rashid said, "The nomination competition in the election is over. Now we have to work with the goal of victory for the Sheaf of Paddy. We will work to ensure the victory of the Sheaf of Paddy, forgetting all doubts and dilemmas." Addressing the party workers, he said, "No kind of colour splashing, victory processions, or harsh behavior towards anyone will be tolerated. Everyone must offer Nafl prayers and pray for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Care must be taken to ensure that no one is caused any trouble."
Md. Harun-or-Rashid, the Sheaf of Paddy candidate for Rajbari-2 constituency, was born on July 1, 1970, in Mashpara village of Pangsha upazila. His father's name is late Motiar Rahman. He is currently a member of the convening committee of Rajbari district unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). His educational qualifications include: Honours (Political Science), Jagannath University, Dhaka; Masters (Political Science), Jagannath University, Dhaka; LL.B., Prime University, Dhaka. Profession: Business. He served as former Vice-President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, former Publicity and Publication Secretary of Rajbari district BNP, former Joint Convener, and former General Secretary for two terms.
