'Farewell and Reception Ceremony 2025' held at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

The 'Farewell and Reception Ceremony 2025' was held at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RAMECHA) today, December 4, at 12 noon. The institution's outgoing Director, Brigadier General F M Shameem Ahmed, was given a formal farewell, and the newly appointed Director, Brigadier General P K M Masud-ul-Islam, was welcomed with floral greetings by the doctors, nurses, and staff of RAMECHA.
The event was hosted by Dr. Md. Mashiur Rahman (R.P, Medicine). The program, which began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, was recited by Dr. Md. Abdul Hamid (Junior Consultant, Medicine). Subsequently, speeches were delivered by — Dr. Md. Hasanul Hasib, Deputy Director, RAMECHA; Dr. Tanvir Ahmed Taukir, Intern Doctor Representative; Shahidul Islam, Ward Master (Third and Fourth Class Staff Representative); Nursing Officer Kohinur Khatun; Dr. Shahidul Islam Robin, R.S (Surgery), Outpatient Department Doctor Representative; Professor Dr. Md. Hasan Tariq, Head, Medicine Department; Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman Sarkar, Head, Surgery Department.
Associate Professor Dr. Roushan Akhter, Head, Gynecology Department; Professor Dr. Md. Azizul Haque Azad, President, Teachers' Association; Professor Dr. Khondokar Md. Faisal, Principal, Rajshahi Medical College. The speakers praised the successful tenure of the outgoing director and expressed hope that the hospital's services would further improve under the leadership of the newly appointed director.
In the final part of the program, Brigadier General F M Shameem Ahmed gave an emotional farewell speech. Thanking the entire RAMECHA family, he said, "The love and cooperation of the people of this institution were an inspiration for me." Later, in his presidential speech, the newly appointed Director, Brigadier General P K M Masud-ul-Islam, pledged to work with utmost sincerity for the overall development of RAMECHA. A large number of guests, including heads of various departments, doctors, nurses, officers, and employees, were present at the event. The entire ceremony, with its well-planned and orderly arrangements, was joyful and full of honor.
