A gathering was organized under the initiative of the Master Zaker Hossain Chowdhury Smriti Sansad, led by Murad Hossain Chowdhury—the worthy successor of the late Master Zaker Hossain Chowdhury, the idol of the protesting young generation who was repeatedly persecuted and imprisoned, and the founding president of the Teknaf Upazila unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and convenor of the district Jago Dal. The event took place on the grounds of the Hnila Shah Majidia Islamia Alim Madrasa at 2 PM on December 19.
As the chief guest at the youth gathering, the pride of the young community, Teknaf Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Ziaur Rahman Jihad, delivered his speech. Speaking as the chief inaugurator of the Smriti Sansad was Principal Nur Ahmad Anwari, the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Cox's Bazar district and the Jamaat-nominated candidate for the Ukhia-Teknaf parliamentary seat. Special guest remarks were given by Maulana Abdul Khaleq Nizami, President of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh Teknaf Upazila North Branch. The presidential address was delivered by the founder of the Late Master Zaker Hossain Chowdhury Smriti Sansad, Murad Hossain Chowdhury. Several other local youth leaders also spoke. At that time, hundreds of young people were present.
