Inauguration of TMSS Ashim Bazar Branch in Gazipur

The Ashim Bazar branch of TMSS, a top-tier and internationally recognized non-governmental development organization, has been inaugurated in Trishal Upazila, Gazipur District, under the Mymensingh Domain of Operation-12. The branch, established under the guidance of Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, a distinguished educator, social worker, and director of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, was officially opened on Thursday, February 20. Dr. Begum, a proud daughter of Bogura, is a pioneer in social change and women's development in the country.

The inauguration ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafez Md. Mahbubur Rahman, a teacher at Hafizia Madrasa. The event was presided over by Md. Abdul Kader, the Zonal Head of TMSS Gazipur Zone. The chief guest, Md. Abdur Razzak, the headmaster of Ashim Bidirectional High School, formally inaugurated the branch and delivered a speech highlighting various directives. Special guests, including Md. Anwar Hossain, Domain Head of Operation-12 Mymensingh Domain, and Alhaj Mohammad Ali, President of Ashim Bazar Business Association, also addressed the gathering.

The chief guest emphasized that TMSS, as a voluntary non-governmental development organization, has been conducting various social and humanitarian activities across the country, particularly in remote areas, for the landless, impoverished, and marginalized communities. He expressed gratitude to TMSS officials for opening the new branch, which will help implement social programs in the area. Special guest Alhaj Mohammad Ali urged officials to identify and initiate projects in the branch's operational area, expressing confidence that the local community would benefit from TMSS's presence.

Md. Anwar Hossain, Domain Head of Operation-12 Mymensingh Domain, welcomed everyone and advised officials to exercise caution in loan distribution. He encouraged them to accelerate TMSS's activities in this promising area and to perform their duties with honesty and integrity. He stressed the importance of officials preparing themselves to keep pace with modern times and working hard to further strengthen the organization, which has grown from grassroots levels.

Other speakers at the event included TMSS Trishal Region Head M. Taifur Rahman. The ceremony was attended by TMSS officials, local dignitaries, people from various professions, political leaders, new TMSS members, and media personnel. The branch officially commenced its operations with an investment of Tk 21.20 lakh distributed among 36 new members. The event was conducted by Md. Zinnatul Islam, Senior Zonal Manager of TMSS Mymensingh Domain.
