Discussion and prize distribution held in Keshabpur on the occasion of the great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day

On the occasion of the great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day-2026, various programs were organized by the Upazila Administration in Keshabpur, Jessore, to observe the day with due dignity. A discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony were held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
The discussion meeting was held on Saturday (February 21, '26) morning, presided over by Keshabpur Upazila Executive Officer Reksona Khatun and moderated by Bimal Kumar Kundo, Upazila Children's Affairs Officer (Additional Charge). The chief guest was Professor Md. Moqtar Ali, Member of Parliament for Jessore-6 (Keshabpur).
Special guests who spoke included: Sukdeb Roy, Officer-in-Charge of Keshabpur Police Station; Sudip Biswas, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer; Alhaj Abdus Samad Biswas, President of the Municipal BNP and former Mayor; Saidur Rahman Saeed, former President of Khulna Metropolitan Chhatra Shibir and former Central Sports Secretary; Advocate Waziar Rahman, President of the Professional Organization of Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami; Samrat Hossain, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Party (NCP), Keshabpur Upazila; and freedom fighter Tohiduzzaman.
Following the discussion meeting, prizes were distributed among the winners of the Ekushey poetry recitation and painting competitions held for students from various schools and colleges.
Those present on the occasion included: Professor Zakir Hossain, Ameer of Municipal Jamaat-e-Islami; Master Rafiqul Islam, Secretary of Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami; Agriculturist Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Agriculture Officer; Sheikh Firoz Ahmed, Upazila Secondary Education Officer; Nasima Khatun, Upazila Cooperative Officer; Rupali Rani, Women Affairs Officer; Anju Monowara, Youth Development Officer; Shamim Akhtar Mukul, President of the Keshabpur Upazila branch of the National Press Society, Media and Human Rights Organization; along with leaders from various media outlets.
