The auspicious opening of Boro season domestic paddy, rice and wheat collection was held in Gobindganj

Gaibandhar Gobindganj has held the auspicious opening of domestic paddy, rice and wheat collection for the current Boro season. Alhaj Chairman Abul Kalam Azad, Member of Parliament of Gaibandha-4 Constituency, inaugurated this program as the chief guest at Gobindganj Municipal Gobindganj food warehouse on Thursday afternoon. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Russell Mia, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mehdi Hasan, Upazila Food was the special guest. Officer Abdus Sobhan, Upazila Rice Mill Owners Association President Rezaul Karim Rafique, General Secretary Abdul Wahab Munnu, Farmer Manik Kumar Saha and others were present.

In the current season, 2 thousand 997 metric tons of paddy, 11 thousand 570 metric tons of boiled rice, 706 metric tons of atab rice and 122 metric tons of wheat will be collected from 300 farmers through lottery. Hasnat Jamal, officer-in-charge of Golap Bagh food warehouse, greeted the chief guest with flowers at the beginning of the event. Asaduzzaman, officer in charge of Kamdia food warehouse, gave floral greetings as the president of the event. Mahimaganj Food Warehouse Officer Iqbal Hossain was present at the time.
