UP Chairman Sultan arrested in warrant case in Pabna

Bhandara Union Parishad Chairman Sultan Mahmud Khan of Pabna Sadar Upazila has been arrested in two warrant cases. District Detective (DB) and Pabna Sadar Thana police arrested him from in front of Dogachi Union Parishad near Bhandara at around 11:30 pm on Friday (May 24). The matter was confirmed by the officer in charge of Pabna Sadar police station Roshan Ali and the officer in charge of the district intelligence police Emran Mahmud Tuhin.
They said he was arrested because there was an arrest warrant against him. He has already been brought to Sadar police station. However, he did not immediately comment on the case. In this regard, Pabna Sadar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Roshan Ali said, Sultan Mahmud Khan is accused in several cases. Arrest warrants are issued against him in two cases. He was arrested on this basis. However, this official did not immediately tell the number of the two cases.
Incidentally, in the UP elections held in June 2022, Sultan Mahmud Khan was elected UP Chairman after defeating the then UP Chairman and current upazila chairman candidate Abu Said Khan. He expressed his support to Mosharraf Hossain, the president of Pabna Sadar Upazila A.League and the horse symbol candidate in the upazila elections. He is also working in the field in the campaign.
