Tapu Hossain (14), a teenager, was fatally attacked following a drug-related dispute in Ishwardi, Pabna. On Saturday evening, June 22, police found his body stuffed in a sack on the 3rd floor of Aranya hostel in the Mashuriapara area of the upazila.

Earlier, on June 16, Majiran Begum, the mother of the deceased, filed a missing person report at Ishwardi police station concerning her son. Subsequently, police conducted an investigation that led to the discovery of the body. Tapu, the deceased, is the son of Abul Kashem, a local rickshaw driver.

After the murder, they dismembered the body, placed the pieces in a sack, and hid it in a tank in room 305 of the dormitory before fleeing the scene.

Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi police station, said that the investigation is ongoing and the case is under process. The body of the deceased has not yet arrived at the police station.
