The 85th Annual Sports and Cultural Event Held in Badalgachi

The 85th annual sports and cultural event was held in Badalgachi, Naogaon. It is reported that the 85th annual sports and cultural event of Badalgachi Government Model Pilot High School in Badalgachi Upazila of the district took place on February 17th and 18th, Monday and Tuesday. On the first day, February 17th, the Upazila Executive Officer Ishrat Jahan Sani was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the sports event at the school grounds. The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the Gita. Following this, the sports competitions commenced with a parade by the scout team. Various competitions such as races, long jumps, and fancy dress were organized, and prizes were distributed among the winners.

On the second day, February 18th, Tuesday, the cultural program began at 10:00 AM under the chairmanship of the school's acting headteacher, Md. Mozzaffar Hossain. The event was hosted by SSC examinees Fahim Niloy and Jannatul Mawa. The chief guest was Badalgachi Upazila Executive Officer Ishrat Jahan Sani, while the guest of honor was Fazle Huda Babul, President of Badalgachi Upazila BNP and Joint General Secretary of the Central Farmers' Association. Special guests included Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badalgachi Police Station Shah Jahan Ali and Badalgachi Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shafiul Alam. Also present were teachers, staff, students, former students, guardians, and other distinguished individuals. The event featured competitions such as Quran recitation, Gita recitation, hymns, Islamic songs, dances, songs, skits, dramas, and more. Prizes were distributed among the winners at the end of the program. Finally, the event concluded with the closing speech by the acting headteacher and event chairman, Mozzaffar Hossain.
