Arrest of a youth with 45 kg of cannabis in Shibpur, Narsingdi

District Detective Police (DB) has arrested a young man named Al Mamun (38) with 45 kg of cannabis in Shibpur, Narsingdi. He was arrested from the C&B Bridge area of Khalapara, Noadia, Shibpur upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway today, Sunday (October 5). The arrested Al Mamun is the son of late Azizur Rahman from Bottola village, Kamalganj upazila, Moulvibazar district.
Police said that at 10:50 am today, Sunday, October 5, a skilled team of Narsingdi District Detective Police conducted a raid 100 yards west of the CNB Bridge in Khalapara, Noadia area of Shibpur upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. At that time, 45 kg of cannabis was recovered by searching a secret chamber ingeniously built inside a pickup van, and Al Mamun was arrested. The pickup van was seized at that time. Police said that legal action regarding this incident is underway.
