TMSS's Work Progress and Strategy Formulation Meeting Held in Chittagong

A meeting on the achievement against the target for the first quarter of the 2025-26 financial year, analysis, and planning, implementation, and strategy formulation for the second quarter, organized by Operation-5 Chittagong Domain under the renowned private development organization TMSS, was held. The meeting took place on Saturday, October 11th, at the Parki Convention Hall room of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Hotel Sea Beach in Chittagong. Branch Managers, Regional Heads, and Zone Heads working in the TMSS Chittagong Domain participated in the meeting.

Presided over by TMSS Chittagong Domain Head and Joint Director Md. Abdur Razzak, the chief guest, TMSS Sector Head and Deputy Executive Director-3 Md. Sohrab Ali Khan, was present and delivered an instructive speech. The Sector Head said, "We want to create new entrepreneurs among the current young generation." He urged the field-level officers to work accordingly to foster new entrepreneurs among the youth. He stated that TMSS conducts various social and humanitarian activities across the country. TMSS operates nationwide not for profit, but with a service mentality. Md. Sohrab Ali Khan advised the officers to identify new projects and work accordingly. He called for strengthening the recovery of defaulted and overdue loans and the distribution of loans for new projects.

The welcome address was delivered, and a report on the domain's overall programs was presented by Chittagong Domain Head and Joint Director Md. Abdur Razzak. In his speech, he presented important remarks on the quarterly progress, work plans, implementation, and various future programs of the Chittagong Domain.

Speeches were also delivered by special guests TMSS Director of Operations and Development Md. Rezaul Karim and Finance Director Md. Abul Bashar Bhuiyan, among others. Director Md. Rezaul Karim urged the officers to perform their duties with honesty and dedication. He called upon the field officers to work hard to make TMSS's various social and humanitarian activities more dynamic and accelerated. The speakers urged the field officers to prepare and develop themselves by acquiring skills in ICT, keeping pace with the modern era. They called for reaching TMSS's various social and humanitarian activities to the disadvantaged grassroots people in society.

In the meeting, Chittagong North Zone Head Md. Sarwar Jahan, Chittagong South Zone Head Md. Masudur Rahman, Satkania Zone Head Md. Al Mamun Sarkar, Feni Zone Head Md. Golam Mostafa, and Noakhali Zone Head Md. Muktadir Rahman presented reports on the activities of their respective zones.

Various senior officials of the organization, including the Heads of 16 Regions, Heads of 85 Branches, and Heads of 5 Zones of the Chittagong Domain, participated in the meeting, which will open new horizons in making their domain activities more sustainable and fruitful. Their active participation and valuable exchange of views further enriched the meeting. The meeting included detailed discussions on the role of domain activities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), applying new strategies and technologies, addressing challenges, and future work plans. The speakers highlighted the importance of new innovative methods and modern management in domain activities. Participants focused on enhancing their knowledge and skills through group discussions, case studies, and practical exercises.

In conclusion, the participants said that this meeting would help make their domain activities more effective and sustainable. They expressed optimism that by applying the acquired knowledge and experience at the field level, they would be able to play a greater role in improving the quality of life of the marginalized population.

The HEM Grand Sector authority stated that such meetings will be organized regularly in the future so that their staff at all levels can familiarize themselves with modern knowledge and technology and make domain activities more dynamic. This meeting is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing the professional skills of the HEM Grand Sector staff and further strengthen their role in national development.

At that time, the Personal Secretary to the Deputy Executive Director of TMSS, Md. Mehedi Parvez, and accounts officers were present. The event was conducted and managed by TMSS Chittagong Domain's Assistant Domain Head Md. Ismail Hossain.
