In Barishal, Range Commander Abdus Samad paid deep tribute to the great martyrs.

On the occasion of Great Ekushey February and International Mother Language Day, Range Commander of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Barishal Range, Md. Abdus Samad, BVM, PVMS, paid profound respect to the language martyrs by laying a wreath at the Barishal Central Shaheed Minar at the first hour of the night, at 12:01 AM.
At that time, Range Commander Md. Abdus Samad laid a wreath at the Shaheed Minar and expressed deep reverence for the memory of the heroic martyrs of the Language Movement. He said, "We have obtained our mother tongue, Bangla, through the sacrifices of Ansar Platoon Commander language martyr Abdus Jabbar, Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, and many more unnamed brave souls. Their sacrifice will forever inspire the nation." He called upon everyone to work unitedly to present the accurate history of the Language Movement to the new generation.
Also paying tribute were the Commanding Officer of Barishal Ansar Battalion 44 BN, Md. Hasan Ali, and the District Commandant of Barishal, Md. Rakibul Islam. They were accompanied by the Assistant District Commandant of Barishal, the Ansar VDP Officer of Barishal Sadar Upazila, Upazila Trainers, Battalion Ansar, General Ansar, and Dalanayaks (leaders), among others.
At that time, with people from all walks of life present, the Shaheed Minar area turned into a confluence of respect and love. The entire area resonated with the tune of the song "Amar bhaiyer rakte rangano Ekushey February" (The twenty-first of February, stained with my brothers' blood).
A special prayer (Doa mahfil) was held at the Barishal Range Office Jam-e Mosque after Zuhr prayers, seeking the eternal peace of the souls of all language martyrs and praying for the continued success of the Ansar Force. Participants included Barishal Range Commander Md. Abdus Samad and all Ansar-VDP officers, employees, and media personnel.
