Prime Minister Tariq Rahman First Day at Office

After assuming office, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman is holding his first official meeting at the Prime Minister's Office this Saturday. This marks his third working day as head of government. Since taking the oath as Prime Minister, he previously held office at the Secretariat last Wednesday and Thursday. The Prime Minister arrived at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, to conduct official work at 10:10 AM this Saturday morning.
He was welcomed by the Principal Secretary of the office, A.B.M. Abdus Sattar, and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon. Before entering the main building of his office, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman spoke with and inquired about the well-being of officers and employees who served during the tenure of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's government.
Prime Minister Tariq Rahman called many long-serving officers and employees of the office by name to speak with them. Upon arrival at the office complex, the Prime Minister planted a sapling of a Golden Champa flower on the premises. He offered a special prayer, expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah. Present on the occasion were the Prime Minister's Defense Adviser, Brigadier General (Retd.) Shamsul Islam, along with other officials.
Unveiling of Postage Stamp
Tariq Rahman unveiled a commemorative postage stamp marking Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day. He unveiled the stamp at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon.
