A rally and discussion meeting have been held in Naikhongchhari Upazila of Bandarban with colorful arrangements to celebrate the 54th National Co-operative Day. Centered around the theme "With equity and equality, co-operatives will build the country," a large rally commenced from the Upazila Parishad field at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 1st, and after parading through various streets, culminated in a discussion meeting at the Upazila TTC hall.

The discussion meeting, organized by the Upazila Administration and the Co-operative Department, was presided over by Upazila Co-operative Officer Kaburi Marma. Conducted by Assistant Inspector of the Co-operative Office, Sujan Barua, the event featured Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Mazharul Islam Chowdhury as the Chief Guest.

The welcome speech at the discussion meeting was delivered by Assistant Inspector of the Co-operative Office, Sujan Barua. Special guests who spoke included Dr. Md. Kudrat-e-Rabbi, Youth Development Officer Mahbubul Islam, and Second Officer of the Police Station Mansur Hossain Manik, among others.

Additionally, speeches on behalf of the co-operative societies were given by Abu Taher, Vice President of Naikhongchhari Bazar Society; Mahmudul Haq, General Secretary of Tumbru CNG Society; Abul Kalam, President of Probashi Kalyan Society; Advisor Journalist Abdur Rashid; Nurul Absar, President of Duluchhari Agro Farm Society; Mostafizur Rahman, President of Tumbru Bazar Society; and Jalal Ahmed, Advisor of Koraliya Mura Agro Farm Society, among others.

Speaking as the chief guest, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mazharul Islam Chowdhury addressed all members of the societies, stating, "There is no alternative to co-operative societies for advancing the underprivileged population. Significant progress can be achieved through co-operative societies." He also emphasized that transparency and accountability are essential for all those holding responsibilities within the societies.

Following the discussion meeting, recognition awards were presented to co-operative societies in acknowledgment of their good work.
