A motorcycle rider named Chandana Rani (55) died after being hit by a truck in Naogaon's Badalgachi. He died in a head-on collision with a motorcycle and a rice-laden truck on his way home in the midst of drizzling rain and gusty winds. Chandana is said to be the wife of Vijay Chandra of Nandas village in Patnitala upazila of Rani district. Police OC Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday (May 27) around 8 pm. The accident took place at 4:30 in the afternoon in Mithapur Nabi Bazaar area of ​​the upazila.

According to local and police sources, the deceased Chandana Rani along with her son-in-law was returning home from her relative's house at Akkelpur in Joypurhat on Monday afternoon. On the way back, there was a head-on collision with a truck loaded with paddy when reaching the spot at Mithapur New Market area of ​​Goborchampa-Akkelpur road in Badalgachi. Chandana Rani, a motorcycle rider, fell on the wheels of the truck and died on the spot. Then the local people detained the driver and the truck and informed the police. Police SI Nihar Chandra Sangiya visited the spot with the force. OC Mahbubur Rahman said that the truck and driver were arrested from the scene and brought to the police station. The body was recovered and kept at Badalgachi Upazila Health Complex. Legal action is under process in this regard.
