Naogaon father killed by son's stick

Father Gaden Kujur (70) died after being hit by his son's stick in Niamatpur, Naogaon. He died at his home on Wednesday (June 12) around 9 am. Earlier on Tuesday, son Sajib Kujur (30) hit his father on the head with a stick in Sadapur Jigabari village of Bahadurpur union of the upazila. The deceased Gaden Kujur is the son of the deceased Pichu Kujur of that village. According to family and police sources, Gaden Kujur was intoxicated. After being ill for a long time, the younger son Sajib Kuju's father was assaulted when he returned home drunk on Tuesday night. At one stage of the conversation, he hit his head with a stick lying in the house. He was taken to the local clinic at night as the blood did not stop due to the stick injury. After the first treatment, he was taken home. He died this morning.

The accused son Sajib Kujur was arrested and the body was recovered and taken to police custody. Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maidul Islam said that the body of the deceased Gaden Kujur has been recovered. After post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the family. A murder case is pending in this incident. Legal action will be taken later.
