Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablets during a raid in Sabrang Jinnakhal area of ​​Teknaf, Cox's Bazar.  Commander of Teknaf 2BGB Battalion, Lt. Col. Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed, (BGBMS) confirmed this information to the media. He said that on Tuesday (June 11) Teknaf 2 BGB Battalion Sabrang BOP responsible BRM-5 approximately 1.4 km south. A shipment of drugs may be smuggled from Myanmar to Bangladesh through an area called Jinnakhal. Based on such information, an anti-smuggling patrol of Sabrang BOP went to the area and divided into several groups and took a strategic position along the embankment. After some time, the BGB patrol, which was already in a strategic position, crossed the Naf river and caught two people. Seeing them coming towards Jinnakhal area with Potla in hand and their movements being suspicious, the patrol challenged them. As soon as the persons sensed the presence of the BGB patrol from a distance, they dropped the potla in their hands and ran away towards the neighboring village in the darkness of the night. The patrol reached the said place and conducted a search operation and recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablets (in unclaimed condition) from a bag wrapped in a lungi. able to rescue. The patrol team conducted operations in the area till Wednesday (June 12), but no smugglers or their accomplices could be arrested. Intelligence operations of the battalion are ongoing to trace the smugglers.
