Inauguration Ceremony of Primary Education Medal Held in Mirzaganj

The two-day National Primary Education Medal Competition 2025 was inaugurated at the upazila level in Mirzaganj Upazila, Patuakhali, on February 19 and February 20. The competition includes sports, cultural events, quizzes, and cubing. The event was inaugurated on February 19, Wednesday, at 10:00 AM at the playground of Subidkhali Government Rahman Ishaq Pilot Secondary School. Mirzaganj Upazila Executive Officer Md. Tarikul Islam presided over the ceremony, chaired by Mirzaganj Upazila Primary Education Officer Mohammad Riazul Haque. The program began with recitations from the Holy Quran and the Gita. The national flag was hoisted, followed by the performance of the national anthem.

Among those present were Mirzaganj Upazila Assistant Primary Education Officer Nizam Uddin, Academic Supervisor of the Secondary Education Office Mustafizur Rahman, Headteacher of Subidkhali Government Rahman Ishaq Pilot Secondary School Abdul Jalil, Senior Joint General Secretary of Upazila BNP Harun-ur-Rashid Munshi, President of Bangladesh Primary Teachers' Association Mirzaganj Upazila KM Abdur Razzak, General Secretary Selim Mahmud, and Student Dal Convener Abul Bashar Mokhles, among others. The National Primary Education Medal Competition began on February 4. The event was held in 143 primary schools across Mirzaganj Upazila.

Winners from their respective schools in 48 categories participated in the union-based national medal competition. The winning students from each union will participate at the upazila level. Over 300 students will participate at the upazila level. Winners from the upazila will compete at the district level. The event was conducted by Sardar Nasir Uddin, Assistant Teacher of West Subidkhali Government Primary School, and Headteacher Khadija Yasmin of Ranipur Government Primary School.
