In an operation by Lohagara Police, six rounds of ammunition, a magazine, and a 9mm foreign-made pistol were seized, and two individuals were arrested. Ujjal Roy, the district correspondent from Narail, reported that on Monday (February 24), under the leadership of SI (NIB) Suman Howladar, along with SI (NIB) Masudur Rahman and ASI (NIB) Elias Bapari, along with a supporting force, conducted a raid named "Devil Hunt," executed a warrant, and carried out a narcotics recovery operation. Acting on a tip-off, they learned that a group of individuals was gathered in a mahogany garden on the western side of the residence of one Md. Khalilur Rahman in Kundsi village, Ward No. 5 under the municipality of Lohagara, for the purpose of buying and selling drugs. Based on this information, Lohagara Police quickly arrived at the scene.

Sensing the presence of the police, the accused attempted to flee, but the police managed to apprehend Babul Sheikh Dhala Babul (42) and Bipul Sheikh (35), both sons of Delwar Sheikh, residents of Mangalhat, Lohagara, Narail. During a search of Babul Sheikh's body in the presence of witnesses, six rounds of ammunition, a magazine, and a 9mm foreign-made pistol were seized. It is noteworthy that, upon reviewing police records, Babul Sheikh has 17 cases against him, including 14 narcotics-related cases, while his brother Bipul Sheikh has one case against him. Both accused are known in the area as identified terrorists, drug dealers, and extortionists. Legal proceedings are underway in this regard. Under the overall guidance of Narail District Police Superintendent Kazi Ehsanul Kabir, the operation to recover illegal weapons continues.
