Disaster Management Committee Meeting Held at Arannagar Union Parishad in Dhamoirhat

A discussion and exchange meeting on climate change-induced vulnerability analysis was held with the disaster management committee of Arannagar Union Parishad in Dhamoirhat, Naogaon. The event was organized by Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) and Arannagar Union Parishad, funded by the Swiss government, with joint support from WaterAid and Swisscontact Bangladesh.
On Sunday, July 27, at 11:00 AM, the findings of the participatory climate change vulnerability analysis at the ward level were presented and reviewed before the Union Disaster Management Committee at the Arannagar Union Parishad hall room. The meeting was chaired by Md. Mosaddek Hossain, Chairman of Arannagar Union Parishad.
Participants shared their opinions on various issues, highlighting the demands and vulnerabilities identified from different wards. Based on the problems revealed in the participatory climate change vulnerability analysis, steps were taken to formulate a union development plan prioritizing water and solid waste management, along with implementing community action plans.
