Commitment to Honesty, Dedication, and Professionalism: 104 Ansar VDP Officers Don Rank Badges

104 officers of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force have been promoted from Upazila Trainers (Male and Female) to the posts of Circle Adjutant and Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Assistant Adjutant (10th grade). The rank badge wearing ceremony for these newly promoted officers was held simultaneously across the country on October 19. At a simple ceremony held at the force's main organization headquarters in Dhaka, the Director General himself adorned the promoted officers with their rank badges. Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Major General Abdul Motalleb Sazzad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, inaugurated the event as the chief guest and adorned the promoted officers with their rank badges. On this occasion, the Director General conveyed his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the promoted officers and presented them with floral greetings. Also present at the ceremony were Additional Director General Brigadier General Fida Mahmud, AFWC, PSC, and other senior officers, employees, and members of various ranks of the force. Simultaneously, on the same day, Range Commanders adorned the newly promoted officers with their rank badges at all Range Offices across the country. At the headquarters ceremony, the Director General delivered important instructive remarks addressed to the newly promoted officers. He said, "Promotion in the force is not a symbol of luck; it is a commitment to greater dedication, honesty, and professionalism in performing duties and responsibilities." He firmly mentioned that Ansar and Village Defence Force always provides promotion based on merit, work efficiency, and honesty. He specially called upon the newly promoted officers to play a responsible role in improving the quality of life of members at the grassroots level, creating self-employment, and in the upcoming National Parliament elections. In the final stage of the event, the Director General exchanged greetings with the promoted officers in a joyful atmosphere and made the moment memorable by cutting a cake. The new officers pledged to dedicate themselves more to the service of the country.
