Teenager Riyad killed in Rajbari after motorcycle loses control and crashes into divider

In Rajbari, a teenager named Riyad (14) was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a road divider. Another person was seriously injured in the incident. The accident occurred on Sunday morning (November 2) at 10:00 AM on the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in front of the Rajbari Fire Service station. The deceased Riyad was the son of Rahmat from Bardoal village in Dadshi Union of Sadar Upazila. He worked as an employee at Kaderia Bakery in Sreepur area of Rajbari town.
The injured youth, Rono (20), is the son of Ronjit from Khankhanapur Union of Sadar Upazila. Several employees of Kaderia Bakery stated that Riyad had come to the bakery in the morning and wanted to go to the railway gate for some work. When a youth who had come to collect goods from the bakery mentioned he was going towards the big bridge, Riyad got on his motorcycle. The news of the accident was received shortly after.
Dr. Raushan Ara Akter, in-charge of the Emergency Department at Rajbari Sadar Hospital, said, "Two injured individuals were brought to the hospital. Riyad died during treatment. He had serious head injuries." The other injured youth was given primary treatment and then referred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
Sub-Inspector Sazzad Hossain of Rajbari Ahladipur Highway Police Station said that the motorcycle involved in the accident has been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are underway regarding this matter.
