Protest against the harassing lawsuit filed against three journalists, including the General Secretary of Sreepur Press Club.

Local journalist leaders have strongly condemned and protested the harassing lawsuit filed against three journalists, including the General Secretary of the Sreepur Press Club. It is known that a false and conspiratorial case has been filed without any investigation against Sreepur Press Club General Secretary Tipu Sultan, Joint Secretary Ashraful Alam Sarkar, and Office Secretary Farhad Alam. The journalists claim this is completely motivated and harassing.

In a joint statement, Gazipur District Journalists Unity Forum President Abul Khashem, General Secretary Rafiqul Islam, and Sreepur Press Club President Abdul Malek condemned the case. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of the case filed against the journalists and called for an end to police harassment.

It is noted that a recent unpleasant incident occurred centered around the land registration of a person named Shahabbuddin at the Sreepur Sub-Registry Office. When these three journalists went there to collect news, one party instigated the situation, diverting its course. Subsequently, on October 30, Shahabbuddin's daughter filed a case at Sreepur Police Station against a total of 14 people, including the three journalists.
