Multi-Stakeholder Platform (MSP) committee formed in Sapahar Union.

The formation and planning meeting of the Multi-Stakeholder Platform (MSP) Committee was held at Union No. 1 Sapahar in Sapahar Upazila of Naogaon. The meeting was held on Thursday (November 13) at 10:30 AM in the union parishad meeting room. The Chairman of Union No. 1 Sapahar, Md. Sadekul Islam, was present as the chief guest at the meeting. A total of 21 members have been included in this committee, formed with the overall support of the Caritas Bangladesh, Rajshahi Region's Local Initiatives to Combat the Adverse Impacts of Climate Change (CLIC) project and funded by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). The Upazila Agriculture Officer serves as an advisor to the committee.
The committee includes representatives from various government departments, local government representatives, teachers, journalists, members of the market management committee, women entrepreneurs, farmer representatives, imams, and representatives from civil society and youth society. Present at the meeting were Union Administrative Officer Md. Mahidul Haque, UP Member Md. Mijanur Rahman Chowdhury, UP Member Harez Uddin, UP Member Mofizul Islam, UP Member Mariyam Begum, Caritas Field Facilitator Aminul Islam, Field Facilitator Swapan Kumar, and members of the newly formed committee. Speakers at the meeting said that through the Multi-Stakeholder Platform, nutrition-sensitive and climate-resilient agricultural activities will be strengthened to ensure food and nutrition security for the local population. At the end of the event, Chairman Md. Sadekul Islam announced the names of the newly formed 21-member committee and sought everyone's cooperation in implementing the committee's activities.
