BNP does politics for the people: Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan Jewel

As a worker of the leader of the people, Begum Khaleda Zia, and the acting chairman Tarique Rahman, I want to say that we engage in politics for the people because the people are the source of all power. This statement was made by Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan Jewel, a nomination aspirant for the BNP from Narsingdi-4 (Manohardi-Belab) constituency and the co-secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee for volunteer affairs. He made these remarks as the chief guest at a street meeting held in Birgaon village on Sunday afternoon (February 16), organized by the Krishnapur Union BNP and its associated organizations. The meeting aimed to increase public engagement regarding the 31-point agenda for state structure reform announced by acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

At the time, he further stated that there are many political parties whose ballot boxes remain empty, and they cannot provide leadership. By the grace of Allah and the love of the people, whenever the name of BNP is mentioned, the people of this country, young and old, men and women, all come forward. The people love the leader of the people, Begum Khaleda Zia, they loved the martyred President Ziaur Rahman, and they have immense love for Tarique Rahman, the future Prime Minister of the next generation. The reason for this is that the Zia family has always stood by the people. The Zia family has contributed to the Liberation War of '71, the Sepoy Revolution of '75, the democratic uprising of '90, and the movement to overthrow the autocracy on the 24th. Additionally, he highlighted various development initiatives during the BNP government, such as providing stipends up to HSC, various allowances, and the development works during the rule of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman. He also outlined BNP's development plans if they come to power in the future.

The meeting was presided over by Kazi Anwar Hossain Khosru, former president of Krishnapur Union BNP. Among others present were former general secretary of Upazila BNP and former municipal mayor Dr. Abdul Khalek, former organizational secretary of Upazila BNP and former VP of Hathirdia College Baset Mollah Bhutto, joint convener of Upazila BNP and former VP of Manohardi College Mahmudul Haque, convener of Upazila Jubo Dal Nadim Mahmud Bayezid, joint convener of Narsingdi District Chhatra Dal and former convener of Upazila Chhatra Dal Samir Rahman Tipu, senior convener of Upazila Sechchasebak Dal Shafi Uddin Akand Khiron, former joint general secretary of Khidirpur Union BNP Nurul Haque Sarkar, former general secretary of Krishnapur Union BNP Mahtab Uddin Matu, president of Krishnapur Union Sechchasebak Dal Md. Akram Hossain, general secretary of Khidirpur Union Sechchasebak Dal Md. Shahin Mia, and Khidirpur Union Chhatra Dal leader Abdullah Al Mamun Titu, among others. Leaders from various unions of the Upazila BNP and its associated organizations, as well as journalists from electronic and print media, were also present.
