Bicycles distributed among Ansar-VDP members in Rangpur.

A bicycle distribution program among the Ansar-VDP members of Rangpur District of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force has been held. These bicycles were distributed with the aim of accelerating and bringing dynamism to the various social and humanitarian activities of the Ansar Commanders, Union Dalpatis, and VDP members across the upazilas and unions of the district.

On Wednesday, October 15, 73 bicycles were formally distributed among the stipendiary members of Rangpur district at the Mahiganj Ansar-VDP Training Centre in Rangpur city, on the initiative of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force. Presided over by Rangpur District Commandant of Ansar Village Defence Force, Md. Rashedul Islam, BAMS, the chief guest, Range Commander of Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Deputy Director General Mohammad Abdul Awal, BVM, PVSM, was present and delivered important directive-oriented remarks addressing the members and distributed the bicycles.

Addressing the members at the bicycle distribution ceremony, the Range Commander said that for the overall development of the country, nation, and society, they must come forward in humanitarian service and public welfare, alongside becoming self-reliant by creating self-employment. He further said that they must play an effective role in maintaining the organization's reputation and in dynamically accelerating government work for the trained upazila, union, ward, Ansar-VDP Dalpatis, aiming to control all terrorism, militancy, drugs, prevent child marriage, build planned families, and achieve an illiteracy-free society.

The Range Commander urged them to utilize the knowledge gained from the 14-day training in practical life to assist others in society alongside their own development. He called upon the members to adopt all good deeds in society and refrain from bad deeds. He advised the members to fulfill their responsibilities from their respective positions.

Present at the time were, among others, Rangpur District Circle Adjutant Md. Saidul Islam, Sadar Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Bijan Datta, Sadar Upazila Trainer Md. Maniruzzaman, 14-day Ansar Basic Training Trainees, Battalion Ansar members, monitoring field staff, public relations assistants, Ansar-VDP members, and media workers.
