In Thakurgaon, a prayer mahfil was held after Jummah prayers for the well-being of Begum Khaleda Zia.

A prayer mahfil has been held in Thakurgaon praying for the recovery and swift well-being of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. This prayer mahfil was organized by Thakurgaon District BNP at the Government Boys' High School field after the Jummah prayers on Friday (December 5th). Scholars, imams, madrasa students, local people, as well as leaders and activists of BNP and its associated organizations participated in the prayer mahfil. Special munajat (supplications) were offered praying for Begum Khaleda Zia's speedy recovery during the Quran recitation and milad mahfil. Those present at the time included District BNP Vice President Nur Karim, District BNP General Secretary Paigam Ali, former District BNP Organizing Secretary Zafarullah, Sadar Upazila BNP President Abdul Hamid, General Secretary Mahabub Hossain, and Organizing Secretary Kazi Almagir. Speaking at the time, District BNP President Paigam Ali said, "National leader Begum Khaleda Zia is a symbol of democracy, development, and national unity in this country. Her recovery is extremely important not just for the party, but for the future of the country and the nation." The organizers stated that such programs praying for Begum Khaleda Zia's well-being will continue in the future as well.
