Flower wishes and distribution of sweets to brave freedom fighter Akhlaq Haider as he was re-elected chairman in Burichong

Comilla's Burichong Upazila Parishad chairman Akhlaq Haider, a brave freedom fighter, was re-elected as the chairman (for the second term) and was showered with flowers and sweets distribution. On the initiative of Londoni family and Ghora Prateik workers-supporters of Bakshimool Union (Paharpur) of Burichong Upazila, an Anand (Victory) procession was organized by distributing 50 kg of sweets at Fakir Bazar on Thursday night (30 May 2024). Bakshimul Union Awami League Joint General Secretary Haji Md. Amjad Hossain and Spanish expatriate Md. Jahangir Alam led a joyous procession in the presence of hundreds of leaders and workers from different areas of Bakshimul Union at Fakir Bazar. At the end of the joyous procession, activists and supporters greeted newly elected Burichong Upazila Parishad Chairman Akhlaq Haider with flowers at Fakir Bazar temporary horse marker office. Haji Md. Amjad Hossain gave a short speech after the joyous procession and distribution of sweets. He said, "We are happy that my leader Akhlaq Haider, a brave freedom fighter, is the chairman for the second time. As he has previously taken a place in the minds of the people by doing peace and order and development work of Burichong Upazila with everyone, he will continue in this way in the coming days. He sought the prayers of the upazila residents for the newly elected chairman Akhlaq Haider.
