Helping flood affected people is also worship. Dudrachaki
Daily Bijoy News Special Correspondent:
When people are in danger in any disaster including natural calamities and currently people are disorientated due to floods, it is also a worship of Allah to help them with financial assistance, relief and rehabilitation and medical services. Islam does not look down on even a small amount of aid for humanitarian reasons. A very small amount of donation is also encouraged for that purpose. Rasulullah (SAW) said, "Whoever gives charity, even if it is the amount of a date, Allah accepts it with His own hand. But the condition is that it should be earned through legitimate means. Because Allah likes this thing and increases it so much that this date becomes a mountain.' (Bukhari and Muslim) It is said in the Holy Qur'an, 'O believers! Spend from the means of life that I have given you before the Day comes, when there will be no trade, no friendship, no intercession.' happens). Referring to this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) declared, 'Three persons will be sent to Paradise because of the donation of one loaf of bread. 1. Orderer, 2. Cook, 3. The server who took the bread and served the poor.' (Hakim, Tabarani)
It is stated in the Hadith Sharif, "On the Day of Resurrection, people will rise naked with indescribable hunger and thirst." He who has given food to people in this world for the sake of Allah, will be given food on that day. He who gives water to people to please Allah, will be given water to drink on that day and his thirst will be quenched. The person who donated clothes will be clothed on that day and his shame will be removed.' Another hadith mentions, 'The charitable people will stay under the shade of their donation until the judgment is over in the field of Hashar.'
Our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has always advised the ummah to live by keeping in mind the dangers and sufferings of others. He himself served the sick people in danger, encouraged others to give charity and help in various ways, saying, 'You give charity. Allah is very pleased with this and increases the wealth of the giver.' The person who only performs traditional worship but gives charity for the benefit of the needy and the poor in the path of Allah, Does not come forward in Zakat-Sadaka, Sacrifice-Titiksha and help-cooperation, does not stand by the helpless, distressed, affected poor-suffering people of the society by extending the hand of charity in alleviation of poverty, extreme hunger and poverty, does not participate in relief and rehabilitation work. , he will never be dear to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH).
According to the rules of Islam, they should not be disheartened if they need to cut back on their usual way of life in order to help people in need. Therefore, it has become necessary for every able-bodied person to extend a helping hand to the helpless and vulnerable people in this flood-affected time. If everyone comes forward to the side of those in danger, it will not be difficult to deal with this dire situation.
There are clear references in the Holy Qur'an and Hadith about the importance and merit of helping the needy. Almighty Allah says, 'Believers! Let not your wealth and children distract you from the remembrance of Allah. Those who are heedless because of this, are the ones who suffer. Spend what I have given you before death comes. Otherwise he will say, O my Lord, why did you not give me respite for a little while longer? Then I would give charity and be among the righteous.' (Surah Munafiqun: 9-10)
Verse 195 of Surah Baqarah states, 'And spend in the way of Allah, but do not expose your life to destruction. And be kind to people. Allah loves those who do good.
And let not those who are stingy with what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty think that it is good for them. Rather, it is harmful for them. They will be shackled on the Day of Resurrection with what they were stingy with. And to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.' (Surah Al-I Imran: 180)
'If you give charity publicly, how much better it is. And if you give alms secretly and give to the needy, that is better for you. Allah will remove some of your sins. Allah is aware of all your deeds.' (Surah Baqarah: 271)
Explaining the importance of charitable giving, the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Even if you donate a piece of date, try to save yourself from the fire of hell." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Al-Qur'an mentions the word of giving in the same way as Salat or Namaz. The word 'Zakat' is in the Holy Qur'an thirty-two times, along with prayer twenty-six times in the Qur'an-Majid; Individually in the Quran four times; Holiness has a two-fold meaning. Zakat is sometimes referred to as 'Sadaqah' and sometimes as 'Infaq'. In this case, the word Infaq is used in a general sense, the word Sadaqah is general and the word Zakat is used in a special sense. Sometimes there are exceptions, that is, these three words are used interchangeably.
The primary specific sectors of charity are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as, 'Basically Sadaqat is the fakir, the poor, the zakat worker 1 (wages of the person employed in the management of zakat appointed by the Caliph), dependents, slaves, debtors, Jihad in the way of Allah (for the protection of humanity, human rights and civilization). ) and for foreign travelers in danger. It is ordained by Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing and All-Knowing.' (Sura-9 Taubah, verse: 60).
May Almighty Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala grant us Tawfiq to act on the above words, Ameen.
